Group Rules and Info

:star: Group Rules (general)

1. Anyone can join but understand that this group is steered towards the collection and appreciation of Steampunk art

2. Treat other members and admins with respect

3. Do NOT spam the front page with such things as advertisements and chain letters

4. Have Fun!

:star: Submitting to the gallery

1. Join our group (if you have not already done so)

2. Click the contribute art button

3. Go to gallery and click the folder you would like to add to (if the deviation is not in the correct folder admins have the right to place it in the correct folder)

4. Only submit up to 3 entries per week (otherwise the gallery will get to cluttered)
this rule is not in effect right now. We are still a new club and trying to build up our gallery.

5. Wait patiently for approval. This could be immediate or take up to a day. For now all submissions to the gallery must receive 2 votes before they are approved.

6. The deviation will not be approved if it contains: nudity, extreme violence, copyrighted material, is off topic, or breaks any of deviantART's own policies.

7. Other members of the group will be viewing these deviations. Be sure anything you submit has a finished quality. Please no: quick sketches and/or unfinished work

8. When submitting new art be sure to place it in the correct folder (once we get the folders updated)

:star: For admins

1. It is important to stay active with the group members. Feel free to answer questions, comment on gallery submissions, and invite other deviants.

2. You will be faced with the task of voting on deviations that are allowed into our gallery. Be sure that they follow all rules listed above. If you choose to decline a deviation please explain why so that the same mistake will not be made twice.

3. Even though you are an admin, you should abide by all club rules and regulations.

4. If you must leave the club at any time it would be appreciated if you could find somebody to replace you in your position, or note me so that I may find somebody.

...That's all for now. New rules may be added as we see fit. Serious breaches in the club rules will result in a ban from the club (especially breaking the "respect" and "spamming" rules)

Group Info

We are a group dedicated to uniting the steampunk artists and appreciators of deviantART. We accept all media (yes, including literature and photography). However, we are also committed maintaining a finished professional look in our gallery. This means that submission requests will be reviewed and voted on by admins. Submissions will need to receive at least two votes to be accepted.

For now membership is automatic. However, this may change soon. We want to be sure that members are active and interested in the group.

Steamers gezocht / wanted in the Netherlands

Ik ben nog op zoek naar een 30-tal SteamPunkers om mee te lopen tijdens de "Expeditie" in Valkenswaard (Noord Brabant).
Dit is een bloememcorso, en het stadsdeel dat mij heeft uitgenodigd bouwt in het thema SteamPunk.
Ze hebben me de ontwerpen laten zien, en het wordt echt helemaal geweldig!!!!
De Steamers die ik zoek lopen in hun eigen creaties mee in de optocht.
Voor broodjes en verfrissingen wordt gezorgd, en je hoeft nu eens NIET een hoop entreegeld te betalen om je creaties te showen.
Er zal flink worden gefotografeerd door lokale, regionale en nationale dagbladen zoals kranten, en er zal ook worden gefilmd voor lokale, regionale en nationale televisiezenders.

Dus op deze manier krijgen jij en je creaties alle benodigde aandacht, en het KOST JE NIETS!!!!

Als er Steamers zijn die graag met ons mee willen lopen, en zo aandacht krijgen voor hun kostuum, stuur me dan even een mailtje.

Greetings, artists and makers! My apologies if this comes off looking like spam. I'm not used to trying to advertise things, but some friends have suggested that I give it a shot.

Anyhoo, here's the spamish bit: There's a steampunk convention going on in San Jose during Memorial Day weekend. It's called Clockwork Alchemy. I'm in charge of recruiting artists for the gallery, so I figured I'd ask around here and see if anyone is interested. There is no charge to display your work in our gallery, but it is subject to a review process. We don't allow the artists to sell their work in the gallery, but we do encourage them to include contact information to facilitate future sales. If you or someone you know has an awesome bit of steampunk art or gadgetry lying around in the garage, please feel free to look us up. Here's the link:

Germanys 1. Steampunk Festival "Aethercircus" is looking for Steampunk art for a Steampunk art exhibition (paintings, drawings, artistic photography and else). The exhibition is free for artists, but they have to be at the festival themselves in order to put their artworks on the walls.
The festival takes place on April 28th and 29th in Stade (Northern Germany, near Hamburg)

Sooo... the last three times I submitted stuff, my submissions sat around for weeks until finally expiring. I can understand getting super busy and this happening like, once. But three times in a row? Is this group even active anymore?
